US Regulatory Process

US Regulatory Process

Over the past 18 months, Recover has spent considerable time and effort developing its expansion plan for the United States, which includes partnering with one of the largest waste management companies in the world and one of the leading transportation firms in the industry.

Regulations in certain jurisdictions of the US permit operators to bury the contaminated drilling waste directly into onsite drilling reserve pits. Beyond the potential for breach of the liners at these drilling reserve pits, which could contaminate local drinking water and soils, the biodegradation of the waste creates significant volumes of GHG emissions that are released into the atmosphere. The use of Recover’s process would help avoid all of these potential issues.
